Real Estate Professionals MUST have up-to-date Bios. Your Bio IS Your Brand! It introduces you to potential clients and helps buyers/sellers determine if they’ll use your services. It's where your education, experience, skills and story can come through. This is YOUR RESUME!! It’s the first thing anyone is going to see when they are vetting you (Have you Googled yourself lately??) Remember: You have to Interview for EVERY Client and Customer...how do you think people start that Interview process?? You can bet that they've done their homework and looked you up online.
You want to ALWAYS have an UP-TO-DATE Bio. The Big Question: When should I update it? There's a few answers to that question: Right now! (If you haven’t written it yet) or at LEAST once a year. You should update it as a matter of course after any Title Changes, changes of Brokerages, receiving new Certifications/Designations, after any Major Life Changes, if you are adding New Services, and, of course, anytime you feel you need to “Spring Clean” it.
